Call for Editors-in-Chief

Gender‹ed› Thoughts – Working Paper Series of the Göttingen Centre for Gender Research is searching new members for its editorial board!

We, Anukriti Dixit, Solveig Lena Hansen, Maximiliane Hädicke, Yves Jeanrenaud und Sandra Lang, the editors of the Working Paper Series Gender<ed> Thoughts are looking to augment our editorial team. Suitable candidates are experienced in academic writing and publishing, but above all share their passion for gender research and are motivated to support junior researchers in their academic writing. Knowledge of working with social media and/or Open Access Publishing is desirable but not mandatory. They are obtained through joint editorial work.

The Working Paper Series Gender<ed> Thoughts is an innovative scholarly platform for interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary discourse that contributes to current theoretical, empirical and methodological debates of gender studies (gender thoughts) and reflects the individual and societal significance of gender in everyday life (gendered thoughts). Gendered Thoughts has set itself the task of presenting the current state of gender studies in various disciplines and making its diversity visible. Young researchers in gender and queer studies are given discipline-specific academic guidance, supporting their professional maturing. The Working Paper Series primary addressees students, doctoral candidates and post doctoral fellows. Possible contributions include results from research projects, excerpts from theses, discussions of theoretical approaches and systematic literature reviews on special topics.

The editors-in-chief preselect submitted papers, which then undergo an anonymous peer review process, ensuring their academic quality. Contributions are published continuously throughout the year in German or English. The papers are published Open Access and free of charge under the Creative Commons License CC-BY-SA 4.0.

Editors-in-Chief are responsible for the scope of the working paper series, support of authors and organisation of peer review, applying for funding, national and international networking of the series. If you are interested in joining the editorial board, please send a cover letter detailing your motivation and any relevant experience and expertise, and a CV to genderedthoughts(at)uni-goettingen.de by February 11, 2024.
